How to Clean Lacrosse Balls

Lacrosse balls are very important to every lacrosse player. Without good lax balls it is difficult to practice. In addition to good lacrosse ball care, the best way to keep your lacrosse balls around for a good long time is to clean your lacrosse balls.

It is best to clean your lacrosse balls after every use. While it may seem like a lot of work, it is very simple to clean a lacrosse ball. The best way to clean and refurbish your lax balls is to wash your lacrosse balls in bulk.

To wash your lax balls in bulk fill your sink with warm soapy water. Dawn is a great soap to use when cleaning your lacrosse balls. Dawn cuts away at all the grime that is on your lacrosse balls. When you get rid of the grim, your ball becomes grippy again. There are a few things a lacrosse ball cannot recover from such as UV rays but for the most part you can clean your lacrosse ball to fix it up.

With the sink filled with soapy water use a scrubby sponge and wash all the lacrosse balls. You will see the sink being to fill up with dirt from the lacrosse balls. If the sink becomes too dirty, drain the water and begin cleaning your lacrosse balls again.

After you wash the lax balls dry them with a big towel. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE SUN TO DRY! The sun's UV rays are terrible for the rubber a lacrosse ball is made of. If you put your lax balls in the sun they get really slippery and you will not be able to make them grippy again. Slick lacrosse balls are nothing like the lacrosse balls you will play with in a game.  Game balls are grippy.
